So Santa Card Idea #3

I’ve been having so much fun creating these So Santa cards.  Today’s Santa is delivering gifts on a scooter.

When we first moved to Florida my husband wanted to get a scooter to ride around Amelia Island.  My Sisters family started calling him Uncle Scooter 🙂

All of the supplies that I used in the past two So Santa cards I used on this one also.

The only item that I forgot to tell you about is the Banner Triple Punch.  This punch makes the perfect 1″, 1 1/2″, and 2″ banners.  I don’t know about you but every time I try to make a banner using my snips, it is so crooked and I end up throwing them away. Now I have perfect banners all the time.

Thanks for stopping by to see what I created with this great stamp set.  I love sharing my card ideas with you and these So Santa Card Ideas really got me in the Christmas Spirit. HoHoHo!

Until next time my friends,

Enjoy the SUnshine!

Joan 🙂

Handmade Christmas Card Ideas

Hello My Crafty Friends,

I am having so much fun creating Christmas Cards with all of the supplies that I shared with you the other day.

If you have alot of cards to make this year and want to make it look like you spent hours making each card, when it only took a few minutes, then this is the card you need to make.

I just love making 3 dimensional cards.  It’s amazing how just one pop dot can change the entire look of a card, and when you use more it makes it even better 🙂  Having 3 dimensional card ideas then actually making your idea into a beautiful Christmas card is such a gratifying feeling

Also, for another kind of look, I stamped and punched 4 ornament images.  Then folded 3 of them in half, glued the sides together and then glued them to the image that wasn’t folded and this ornament is now popping off the card!

Come back for a visit soon to see more Christmas Card Ideas, until then…

It’s Time For Our 2011 Handmade Christmas Cards using Joys of the Season Cricut Cartridge

Time has been flying since we moved.  Getting adjusted to the new town and even the new time zone for us has been exciting.  But with all of the great distractions, it is time to get started and make time for getting creative and to make our handmade Christmas Cards.

This year I need to incorporate our new address along with a Christmas theme.  So I decided to make a Christmas ornament using the Joys of the Season Cricut Cartridge, and a We’ve Moved rubber stamp from PSX. (I just wish this stamp had two cats in the window to represent my two boys).

Now deciding what color to make the ornament and back panel.  I choose………. Christmas green and red (how appropriate – LOL)

I used the Cricut Expression Machine to cut the ornaments.  Then I used a Cutter Bee paper trimmer to cut the red back panel.

Some other supplies that I will use is Copic Sketch markers, Elmer’s permanent dot runner, pop dots, natural polished hemp rope, Memento tuxedo black dye ink, and some sea shells from our beach (if you don’t have a beach near by, then you can always purchase shell online or in a craft store).

I printed our address on blue cardstock and used an oval paper punch from punch bunch to cut them out.  The reason why I had to do that was the space that the stamp provided was way to small for our address and if I did write that tiny, no one would have been able to read it.  So when I stamped the image on white cardstock I just masked that part of the image so it wouldn’t stamp.   Then to add some dimension I used a pop dot to raise the address from the card.  The finishing touch was attaching the sea shell with the hemp rope along with our inside message.

Cricut Card Idea for Easy Christmas Cards Using The Cricut Cartridge Christmas

12 Days of Christmas with Joans Craft World

On the fourth day of Christmas…

Handmade Christmas Cards do not have to be hard to make.  As a matter of fact this card was so simple to make but came out really good.

All I used for create this Christmas card was black cardstock, white glitter paper from doodlebug design, inc, and some greeting cards that I purchased with a background design already printed on the front.

I used my Cricut Expression machine to cut the images.  The sparkly moon was made using the circle image from Mini Monograms Cricut cartridge, and Santa with his sleigh and reindeer from Christmas solutions cartridge.  I put the moon on the card using the pink ATG gun and then for the Santa I used a Zig 2 way glue pen since it is really delicate and I think a tape runner would have definitely torn the paper.

That’s it.  I’m done and it looks perfect!
