So Santa Card Idea #2

I want to share another #SimpleStamping card idea that I made with the So Santa stamp set from Stampin’ Up!.  Yesterday Santa was in his bathing suit and today we have a Baker Santa.

My Grandparents owned a bakery when I was growing up in New Jersey and there is no better smell in the world then cookies baking 🙂

This card I used Call Me Clover cardstock along with Whisper White.  I also used the same four dark Stampin’ Blend markers as I did yesterday.  Real Red, Call Me Clover, Pineapple Punch and Crumb Cake.

The Clear Rhinestones were colored using the Stampin’ Blends.  I love just purchasing the clear rhinestones and then coloring them to coordinate with the color theme of my cards.

I’m not sure if i mentioned it in yesterdays post but I also used the Stitch Shaped Framelits.  If you don’t have these framelits I suggest that you get them because they just add such a special touch to any image that you stamp.

I will share one more card idea tomorrow from this fun stamp set.

Until next time my friends,

Enjoy the SUnshine!

Beautiful Tropical Chic Wedding Card

Stampin’ Up! Tropical Chic stamp set along with Tropical Thinlits Dies make the most beautiful cards, especially this handmade Wedding Card for our Dear Friends.

I wanted this card to be special so instead of making a traditional card I decided to make a step card.  Once I put it all together, the front panel was too heavy and it wouldn’t stand up and I had to think of a way for it to work.

That’s when I thought of making “kind of an easel” and it worked 🙂

The inside of the card was all hand written but I did layer DSP on the base of the card, then added a white panel on top of that with some stamped fern leaves along the side.

~ Congratulations Jim & Raquel ~

Until next time my friends,

Enjoy the SUnshine!

Country Home Harvest Blessings

Are you as excited as I am with the new Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog?

Today I want to share with you this awesome stamp set called COUNTRY HOME

Fall is my favorite time of year and combining this stamp set with fall colors and this really cool Chicken Wire Elements, really makes me happy 🙂

If you haven’t purchased yourself some Stampin’ Blends which are high quality alcohol markers, I suggest you do.  They make coloring images so super easy because it feels like the color just glides on (almost like soft butter on a piece of bread) super smooth.

And did I forget to tell you that they come in almost all of the Stampin’ Up! Color Collections.  This is why I love Stampin’ Up! everything coordinates which makes creating such a breeze.

Until next time my friends,

Enjoy the SUnshine!

A 3-D Card Made From Stampin’ Up! Stamps

Hope you all are having a great week so far.  This past weekend I decided it was time to back up the photos on my phone and computer and put them on a CD just in case something would happen and I would loose a thousand plus memories.  That happened to me once and I was so upset, and I never want to go through that again.

I came upon this card that I made using one of the Stampin’ Up! stamp sets called Flower Patch.

What I loved about this stamp set was that it also had the framelits dies which made it so easy to cut out the images with the Big Shot and not a scissor.

I know that this stamp set is no longer available but let me tell you, there are so many beautiful flower stamps in our catalog right now that have coordinating framelits dies.  For example Bouquet Blooms, or Falling Flowers and even Flourishing Phrases has a really pretty flower and leaves that coordinate with Flourish Thinlits.   These are just a few of the beautiful stamp sets that make card making so easy.

If you haven’t looked through the new Stampin’ Up! catalog, you should visit TheIslandStamper.stampinup.net and see all of the wonderful stamps, papers and accessories they offer for every occasion.

Have a Great Week!

Until next time my friends,

Enjoy the SUnshine!
