Having Fun With The Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge

Hello My Fellow Crafters,

I am having so much fun with this Cricut Cartridge.  I have been seeing a lot of crafty bloggers talk about this exclusive Cricut Cartridge only available through Close To My Heart.

So, I had to find a demonstrator in my area and order this cartridge and get in on all the fun.  This was such a good purchase.  I think you have heard me say that before 🙂

There are so many images 700 to be exact, and the Pop-Up cards are too cool.  With Halloween coming up in the next few weeks I decided to play with this pop up function.  Using my Cricut Expression it cut perfectly.  The folding was a little tricky at first but with my score board it make it easier.

The inside of this card is so cool I don’t want to put anything on the outside but it looks sooo boring, so I decided to just make it super simple, and here is what I came up with.

Stickles added the perfect “bling” to this card.  I might have to add some to the inside too.  Anyway, thanks for stopping by and hope you have a Happy Halloween.

A Simple Handstamped Birthday Card For A Cat Person

Hello My Fellow Crafters,

Every time that I make a greeting card I take a few pictures.  Well my file is getting really big, which means that I have not shared with you all of my fun creations.

This card was for my sister-in-laws birthday.  She loves cats, plus her cat is really fluffy like the cat in this rubber stamp by Stampabilities.  I wanted to keep the card simple, yet not boring so I embellished with some ribbon from Ribbon Trends and the small flower that I made with the Flower Shoppe Cricut cartridge and Cricut Expression machine.

Using Copic sketch markers I just outlined the image and it gave it just the right amount of color.  The very muted background was done with a sponge dauber and memento inks.

I have heard this saying before and I thought it was really funny but didn’t have a stamp, so I used my own handwriting and wrote the sentiment on the front of the card as well as the inside.  The rest of the saying inside reads… The more you have the more you want to gag.

The smile on the cat is so confident and is telling us that, I am cute and I know it 🙂

Handmade Confirmation Card Using the Cricut Expression

Hello My Fellow Crafters,

Today I want to share with you a Handmade Confirmation Card that I made for our Godson Tyler.

I wasn’t sure how to go about making this card since I really didn’t have any rubber stamps for Confirmation, but I wanted it to be simple yet perfect.  Looking around my “craft world” I saw some American Crafts bakers twine and of course my Cricut Expression machine.  I knew that there had to be an image of the Holy Spirit in one of my many Cricut Cartridges, and I found it.  Using the Life is a Beach Cricut Cartridge, and the images of seagulls would work great.

Cutting the image onto white cardstock using the Cricut Expression and then layered onto a strip of craft paper that I wrapped in the bakers twine.  I then computer generated the wording and printed on the same white cardstock that I used for the Holy Spirit (seagull).  One more layer of red cardstock and I think this card turned out just the way I expected.  The Cricut never lets me down, another great Cricut card idea!

For the inside I layered the same white on red with the computer generated message.  I forgot to take the picture before I wrote my personal message inside so that’s why the picture is cropped 🙂

Today is “Talk Like a Pirate Day” ~ Ahoy Mattey

Hello My Fellow Crafters,

AHOY MATEY ~ Today is Talk Like A Pirate Day and I wanted to share with you a really fun Cricut Card Idea that I made to celebrate the occasion.

talk like a pirate day 2013

This little pirate was made with the 3 Birds on Parade Cricut Cartridge.  I think this cartridge is soooooo fun!

After cutting him all out and putting him together I decided that his sword needed some shine, so just added some silver stickles and  now it  looks great.

Then had some scrap Kraft paper and so I literally tore it up to look like land, sponged some Rich Cocoa (Brown) Memento ink onto the edges for more of a dimensional look.

For the background of the ocean all I did was take the other end of the scrap paper that I tore and used it as a stencil and lightly sponged Bahama Blue Memento ink onto the white card cardstock.

~ Enjoy Your Day Matey ~

Maybe you will find a Treasure  Chest filled with Craft Supplies 🙂
