Happy Easter Card Idea

Hello My Fellow Crafters,

I hope you all had a wonderful and relaxing Easter.

Today I want to share with you the Easter Card I made this year.

2017 easter card

Who says you need real eggs to color at Easter…I didn’t color real eggs, but I sure had fun coloring these paper ones 🙂

The card base I used is called a Z fold which is super easy to make, plus it gives your card such a great look.

Using the Cricut Explore Air machine I cut out the flowers, stems and grass.  Since you could see the back of the flowers with this type of card, I cut the flowers out twice so I could glue them to the front and back of the stems.

And it can’t be an Easter Card without some Bunnies and Eggs, so  I used a few stamps that I had of cute Easter bunnies and Easter eggs.  Colored with Copic markers and some Spectrum Noir markers, then cut them out by hand and arranged them on the card.

This was such a fun card to make and of course I finished it off with some “bling” using rhinestones to decorate the eggs.

Just a reminder, If you plan on purchasing some Cricut products, there is FREE SHIPPING till the end of the month, and saving money on shipping means you can buy more products 🙂

Making Paper Flowers

Hello My Fellow Crafters,

I love flowers and I betcha you all love them too BUT we all are not happy when we have to throw them away.

That’s why I love making paper flowers 🙂

First of all you can make them any color and size  that you want.  You can keep them on display for as long as you like without watering them or having to pick up petals and leaves that have fallen off.  Plus you have the enjoyment of making them yourself.

Since spring has officially sprung a few weeks ago I have been in the mood to make flowers since they make me happy.

Spring WreathI made this wreath for my mother and father in-law to celebrate spring.  Everything on this wreath is made of paper (and you all know that I love paper)

Close To My Heart was selling wreath kits a few months back but don’t worry if you didn’t get one.  If you have a Cricut machine, you can make these flowers using the Cricut cartridge from CTMH called Flower Market since all of these flowers are in this cartridge.  You can check out the cartridge on my Close To My Heart website.  This Cricut Collection also comes with a cardstock combo package and coordinating rubber stamps.

Hope you have a great weekend.  If you can’t get outside because of rain or cold weather, bring the sunshine inside and start making some paper flowers!

Happy Thursday Everyone

Hello My Fellow Crafters,

Hope everyone is having a great day.  It started out raining here in North Florida but now the sun is shining and the geese and ducks in our lake are quacking 🙂

A few weeks ago I added some storage cubes to my craft room and you know what that means… you find some wonderful things.

Well I found a wood stamp set from Stampin’ Up! called Stella Stamper.  The sticker says it’s from 1999.  It is the cutest set and in the middle of my cleaning/reorganizing I had to make this handstamped greeting card.

I stamped the image with tuxedo black memento ink and colored with Copic markers, then finished it off by adding some “bling” and its done.
