Handmade Cards Are Beautiful

Handmade cards are beautiful but not all handmade cards are happy.

This card was difficult for me to make only because my God Mother just passed away and I needed to make a card to send to my God Father.

I ordered this stamp set Lasting Lily with coordinating framelits & ribbon during Sale-A-Bration.  This set is simple and beautiful for a Sympathy card.  Highland Heather and Old Olive ink was used along with Whisper White and Basic Black cardstock.

While I was making this handstamped card I was remembering all of the fun times growing up celebrating holidays and just hanging out on weekends with our families.  And recently I really enjoyed our phone conversations.  Aunt Dot will be missed but memories will last forever in our hearts.

Until next time my friends,

Enjoy the SUnshine!

The Stampin’ Up! Stamparatus is Awesome!

I have to be honest with you.  I just got the Stamparatus and I’m asking myself why did it take me so long to get the best stamping tool on the market?

Last night I held a Stamping Workshop at my local Brewing Company.  JoAnn and Shaun have the perfect facility to host my events.

In my workshop I had everyone use the Stamparatus.  They all have used different types of this stamping tool but not Stampin’ Up!’s

What everyone liked about the Stamparatus was that after you decorated the front of the card, you didn’t have to worry about messing up all the work that was put into making the front of the card when stamping the sentiment on the inside of the card.

I’m sure that you have made this mistake also by either having not enough ink on part of the stamp and when you try to line it back up, well it rarely every goes back in the same spot.  Does this sound familiar?

Well, that’s not the case if you use the Stamparatus.  As long as you keep your magnets on top of your cardstock, you can just re ink you stamp and try again.  It stamps perfectly every time 🙂

Just think of all the paper that you are going to save from all of those little stamping mistakes.

To see a video on how the Stamparatus works, all you need to do is head on over to my Shopping Page at TheIslandStamper.stampinup.net and if you like what you see in the video, you can purchase this great tool by just clicking the ADD TO BAG button.  It’s that easy to get this awesome tool in your craft room.

Until next time friends,

Enjoy the SUnshine!

Hanging Garden Z-Fold Card

I love combining different stamps sets to create beautiful cards for all occasions.  This card was made to celebrate my Sister-In-Laws special 50th birthday.

I used many Stampin’ Up! stamp sets in creating this card, and what is so cool is that they all really enhance each other.

And this is a side view that shows that I added the flower pots on every fold of the card, and hanging the flower pots from the beams.

All of the supplies used for this card are listed below and you can find them all in the Annual Catalog, Occasions Catalog as well as the Sale-A-Bration brochure.

Just remember that Sale-A-Bration ends on March 31st, so if you have looked at the brochure and made a wish list, you better order today so you don’t miss out.

Until next time my friends,

Enjoy the SUnshine!

Welcome Spring with Lovely Lattice Stamp Set

It’s officially spring and you know what that means?

You all get to read the Spring Poem that my mom taught me when I was a little girl.  I have recited this poem on the first day of spring for at least 50 years so I can’t stop now 🙂

Spring has sprung

The grass has riz

I wonder where the birdies is?

The birds are on the wing

The birds are on the wing?

My word

How absurd

I thought the wing was on the bird

Now that I have you all laughing I have to tell you something really important.

Sale-A-Bration is almost coming to an end.  So, if you have seen something that you want to get for FREE with your order of $50 or more, don’t wait too much longer.  So many of the items have already sold out.

This card was made with the Lovely Lattice stamp set that I picked as one of my free items.  It can be your too, so please don’t wait any longer because March 31 is next week and that’s when all this FREE goodness goes away.

Until next time my friends,

Enjoy the SUnshine!

Joan 🙂
