Handmade Cards Are Beautiful

Handmade cards are beautiful but not all handmade cards are happy.

This card was difficult for me to make only because my God Mother just passed away and I needed to make a card to send to my God Father.

I ordered this stamp set Lasting Lily with coordinating framelits & ribbon during Sale-A-Bration.  This set is simple and beautiful for a Sympathy card.  Highland Heather and Old Olive ink was used along with Whisper White and Basic Black cardstock.

While I was making this handstamped card I was remembering all of the fun times growing up celebrating holidays and just hanging out on weekends with our families.  And recently I really enjoyed our phone conversations.  Aunt Dot will be missed but memories will last forever in our hearts.

Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Gala Birthday Card Idea

I’m in love with this Butterfly Gala stamp set.  Yes I do love Butterflies but this set offers a ton of ideas for handstamped greeting cards and gifts.  In December I shared with you some cards that I made with this set using Lemon Lime Twist and Grapefruit Grove colors.  For today’s Birthday card idea I used Daffodil Delight.

A cool part about this set is that real butterflies come in all colors so when you stamp these butterflies your color choice is endless and you can always find coordinating designer series paper to make so many beautiful cards.  And by changing the Sentiment you have yourself a variety of cards to brighten someones day with #HappyMail 🙂

The sentiment that I used came from the Humming Along stamp set that is also in the 2019 Occasions Catalog.

Adding some Clear Rhinestones colored with Daffodil Delight Stampin Blends adds the perfect amount of bling to this birthday card.

Stampin’ Up! Amazing Life Stamp Set

I am so happy that in 2 more days you can start ordering from the new 2019 Occasions Catalog and get FREE items from the Sale-A-Bration brochure.

Until you can order, I want to share a card that I made with another great stamp set that is called Amazing Life.

All that I used for this birthday card was two stamps from the set along with  Blueberry Bushel and Whisper White cardstock, Blueberry Bushel Classic Stampin’ Pad.  Then I punched the layering banners using the Banner Triple Punch.  When I stamped the cake and started cutting, I purposely cut off the candle because I wanted to add a 22 for my nephews birthday 🙂

Look at all the other great sayings and images that are in this Amazing Life stamp set.  I’ll definitely be using this set for many different occasions.
