Happy October My Fellow Crafters ~

This month is the start to my favorite time of year 🙂

I love Autumn ~ the changing of the leaves, pumpkins~ cornucopias’ as centerpieces flowing with flowers and my list could go on and on.

So Many Smiles Stamp Set ~ Close To My Heart

Hello My Fellow Crafters,

Have you ever had a week that went by so quickly?  Well that was my week.  I can’t believe that it is Friday already.

I have been having so much fun creating cards with all of the Close To My Heart products that I received in my new consultant kit.

The funny thing about todays stamp set is that I had it on my wish list before I joined and it ended up being in the consultant kit which put a Big Smile on my face 🙂

There are so many things that you can do with this So Many Smiles stamp set – it comes with 12 stamps, and you can make flowers or just totally abstract design with these fun circles.

A great thing to know is that on the clear sheet that the stamps are attached to, shows the size of each circle.  You may be saying so what’s so great about that. Well I will tell you.

*If you have a Cricut machine and the Close To My Heart exclusive Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge, you can cut out the images perfectly and then stamp.

*BUT if you don’t have the cartridge and you do have some circle paper punches you are in luck.  All you would need is four circle punches in size 3/4″, 1″, 1 1/2″, and 2 1/4″ and you have all the circles needed.

And if you have a pair of scissors you can cut them all out by hand which is really easy plus really gives your card the handmade look.

Close To My Heart ~ Happy Birthday Card Idea

Hello My Fellow Crafters,

Well it has been a rainy Saturday today, but its been a great craft day 🙂

I need more Happy Birthday card ideas for my list of September birthdays this month.

Todays card was made with all Close To My Heart products.  The pattern paper is from the seaside collection ~ I really love the look of this paper and I am so upset its no longer available 🙁

The Happy Birthday stamp is from the Just To Say…Cricut Collection that comes with the Artfully Sent cartridge.

The Slate Exclusive Inks and Glacier color goes perfectly with the paper. Using the sponge dabber I lightly brushed the ends of the sentiment inside the card.  I could have stamped it directly into the white cardstock but decided to add another layer with color.  *Ooops – I forgot to add the Glacier ink pad to the picture – I also had some strips of paper so instead of throwing them away I decided to add them to the bottom.  Who says the inside of the card can’t look as good as the outside? LOL

Card Ideas Using Close To My Heart Products

Hello My Fellow Crafters,

Hope you are all enjoying your Friday.  I am having so much fun creating some new card ideas using all Close To My Heart products.

I need to make some birthday cards this month, and most of the cards are for men, so I have to put away my flowers stamps, pink ink and use some non flower stamps and more masculine inks 🙂

closetomyheartcardideahappybirthdayI wanted to bring that great pattern paper to the inside of the card since it looked too “blahhhh” so just by cutting two strips and layering them added the right amount of color without going overboard.

closetomyheartcardidea1I took this close up to show you that I used some Glacier Extra Thick Twine and also a Grey Enamel Gem for the exclamation point for added dimension.
