Cuttlebug Birthday Card

Hello My Fellow Crafters,

This is a busy month for Birthdays in our family and I have to also make some cards for birthdays that were last month (sorry Luke and Riley)  So I really have to be creative and not make the same card over and over.  I am loving this bakers twine, it adds such a perfect accent to all kinds of creations 🙂

Using Memento tuxedo place ink I stamped the image of the flower twice, since I wanted to use a pop dot for a layered look.  Colored the flower with Copic sketch markers, and added some Stickles for the extra shimmer.

Then took out the Cuttlebug and cut the green cardstock using a Framelit Labels die from Sizzix.   Added some bakers twine by just wrapping around the paper and tied a knot.  Put the pop dot on top of the knot and added the stamped flower.

The card just needed more, so again I used the Cuttlebug but this time used an embossing folder of Big Dots, and craft cardstock.  I still needed to stamp happy birthday someplace, and I found some metal frames in a container with some rhinestone brads. This wound be perfect.  Since the brads went in the back of the Big Dot embossed cardstock I put another layer of cardstock behind so it wouldn’t tear the white base card.

The great thing about using a Cuttlebug is that you can cut images with thin metal dies (Framelits) and also emboss with all of the embossing folders on the market.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Hope this birthday card gives you some good ideas when you are making your own handmade greeting card.

A Handstamped Happy Birthday Card Sure To Make You Smile

Hello My Fellow Crafters,

Today I want to share with you a handmade and handstamped birthday card that I made for our niece who is turning 13 this week. Looking through some of my birthday rubber stamps, this one jumped out and made me smile, so I thought it would be the perfect stamp to make her smile too 🙂

Using a rubber stamp from De Nami Designs, some fun ribbon from American Craft, Copic Markers, circle and scalloped paper punches  and can’t forget some colored cardstock to put this birthday card all together.

Making handmade birthday cards are so much fun to make and I know the person who is receiving the card enjoys knowing that it was make especially for them.

Hello Kitty Greetings Cricut Card Idea

Hello My Fellow Crafters,

Our niece is having a birthday in a few days and loves Hello Kitty, so what a perfect cricut card idea I had using the Hello Kitty Greetings Cartridge.  I forgot how cute this cricut cartridge really is 🙂

This handmade birthday card was so much fun to make and to think that it only took a few minutes using my Cricut Expression machine and 4 pieces of (white, pink, red and black) cardstock, and some adhesive.  Look how great it looks.

For the inside of the card I cut the happy birthday saying that was on the cartridge on pink cardstock and using a Zig 2 way glue just applied each letter onto the white card along with a small red flower that was also on the cartridge.

A Colorful Handmade Birthday Card

Hello My Friends,

I have been looking thru all of my pictures of greeting cards that I have made and  I came across this colorful handmade birthday card that I never shared with you.  It was so super easy to make that I had to make this quick post to show you.

As I was getting all the information about how to make this card, I went through my rubber stamps and I noticed that I have quite a few clear stamp sets and acrylic blocks.  You can have soooo many more clear stamps and not need alot of space to store them 🙂 and the clean up is even so much better then using the wood mounted stamps (well that’s my opinion) and just to let you know I have a “ton” of wood mounted stamp.

I  made the layers of the card using Spellbinder Nestabilities, and running them through the Cuttlebug machine.  The stamp used is from Stampin’ Up! and the markers used for coloring the letters are from Tombow, Stampin’ Up and also EK Success.
