A Fun Cricut Project Making Valentines Decorations

Hello My Fellow Crafters,

Love is in the air.  All of the grocery and department stores are ready for Valentines Day so I guess I better get to work (if you call this work) 🙂

In our home we have a pass thru from our kitchen into the living area. It’s a half wall and we have 2 bar stools in front, but that wall always looks so blahhhh, so  I have decided to make a banner for each season or special holiday to put into the blank space.

I want to share with you a fun Cricut project.  Cricut makes Valentines decorating so easy with all of the Cricut Cartridges you can choose from.  I used the Sweethearts cartridge to make this banner, along with the Cricut Expression machine.

I decided to use this scalloped  heart because it had round holes incorporated into the design which made it really easy to put ribbon thru to make a Valentines banner.

I was thinking of all the things that I could put into the middle of the heart like our names, cupid, arrow… and when I found ” you & me ” I knew it was perfect.  Doesn’t it look good?  I have a few more ideas on decorating for Valentines day that I will be sharing with you soon.

NJ Towns Canvas Wall Art

Hello My Fellow Crafters,

Over the years I have gotten to know a lot of you through your comments, private messages and even in person.  I have shared with you that I am originally from New Jersey, moved to New Mexico and now live in Florida.  With moving away from family and friends in New Jersey we always reminisce of places that we’ve been.

So what we decided to create is a Unique Canvas Wall Art of some of the New Jersey towns that are special in one way or another, or of where you my fellow crafters have shared where you are from.  We couldn’t add all of the towns because you would either need a really huge wall and we would need a really huge piece of canvas 🙂

But what we did is arrange it so you can personalize your NJ Towns on Canvas Wall Art with your favorite town if it is not listed.

When It is Cold Outside It is A Perfect Time To Craft Inside

Hello My Fellow Crafters,

I am ready for a little warmer weather.  Most people think that when you live in Florida its always warm weather with swaying palm trees,  well the palm trees are swaying but let me tell you that we have had freezing weather for two nights, and during the day it didn’t get into the 60’s.  I know others have it really bad, but it’s cold 🙂

Anyway, when it’s cold outside you want to stay inside and what a better time to craft.  So as I was in the kitchen making myself a cup of hot chocolate, I looked at my trash can and got a great idea.  Let’s decorate a plain white trash can into a one of a kind trash can.

I didn’t want to make anything permanent just in case I was going to change the color accents in the kitchen so I decided to use the repositionable  Joans Craft World vinyl for this project. Since my tablecloth has all palm leaves on it,  I decided to make a palm tree using the Cricut Expression along with the Life is a Beach cartridge.

Just using two sheets of the Joans Craft World, Beach Theme, Repositionable Craft vinyl (light brown and celadon),  I made an ordinary trash can into a really fun and creative one.
