Stand and Salute Cricut Cartridge Is Perfect For A 4th of July Scrapbook Page
With the 4th of July just around the corner, I wanted to use the Stand and Salute Cricut cartridge to make a scrapbook page. I have been rubber stamping for the past couple of weeks and it sure feel fantastic to use my Cricut Expression machine again.
We will be going to a friends house for a BBQ on the 4th and you know that I will be taking pictures to capture the fun.
The best part of the 4th for me is watching the firework display in the evening. It’s funny, I am petrified of fireworks when I am close to them but from a distance, they are beautiful.
So using my Cricut Expression machine, I cut the fireworks image and made it in three different sizes and also cut the image of the Statue of Liberty. Growing up in New Jersey the firework display was over the Hudson and watching it on television they always showed the Statue of Liberty in the distance with the fireworks above. And seeing it in person was just unbelievable. The roar of the crowds Ooooooooh’s & Aaaaaaaah’s, bands playing music to go with the fireworks, great friends to share the evening with, what else could one ask for, it was fantastic!
I love those memories but let’s get back to the scrapbook page, so after cutting the fireworks, I added some glitter to each using Martha Stewart fine glitter, for that extra sparkle. And for the wording I made polka dots using red and blue markers from ek success and for the white the Martha Stewart opaque marker.
When I print my pictures depending on how many, I will use either the small wallet photo size or maybe even the thumb print size to just put around the page.
I want to take this opportunity to thank all of the Military Men and Women all around the world who keep me and my family safe everyday. I can’t thank you enough for all of your dedication and courage. God Bless each and every one of you.

A Rubber Stamp And Some Copic Sketch Markers Make the Perfect Father’s Day Card
I wanted this years handmade Father’s Day card to have a special meaning. My husbands parents have alot of bird feeders on there lake front property and they love to see all the beautiful birds that come to the feeders. They also have bears that frequently help themselves to the bird food.
So for this years card I used the House Mouse rubber stamp and colored in the image with Copic Sketch markers. I then layered the image onto a solid piece of cardstock and layered again onto a very soft piece of cardstock that brought all the colors together.
Now how does a bear come into this Fathers Day Card, well here is the inside of the card. I computer generated the saying but then I cut out a bear with my Cricut Expression machine using the Animal Kingdom Cricut cartridge. Well I had to crop the inside since when I took the picture it had our mushy sentiments inside but this is what is said:
Wishing the Best Poppa a Very Happy Father’s Day!

Making A Father’s Day Card With The Cricut Expression And The Animal Kingdom Cricut Cartridge
With Father’s Day just around the corner, I wanted to make a fun Cricut card for my Dad. Last month when I was visiting my family, we were getting silly one afternoon and were all making fish faces. I even got my Dad to make one. Anyway, I wanted his card to have a memory of that silly afternoon.
I went through my Cricut Cartridges and the Animal Kingdom was the winner again. There is a Fishy Kisses saying along with a fish face. It was so simple to make with just three layers, but ohhhhhhh so cute.

Handmade Birthday Cards Are So Much Fun To Make When You Have A Cricut Expression Machine And A Great Cricut Card Idea
I always loved to make handmade cards, but it is so much fun with a Cricut Expression machine. My nephew is turning 13 and I needed to make a “cool” card. When Luke was out visiting us a few years ago, we were always laughing so I wanted his card to make him laugh.
So using the Animal Kingdom Cricut cartridge I cut out the cow and all of the layers. Added some stickles to give him (the cow) a little “pizazz”. Then using the Cricut Gypsy, I welded together the phrase for the front of the card using Plantin Schoolbook and before I added it to the front of the card with pop dots, I used a white opaque Martha Stewart marker and added some polka dots. Oops I almost forgot the grass is also from Plantin Schoolbook grass border.
For the inside of the card I used the Beyond Birthdays Cricut cartridge for the phrase Happy Birthday and then I found a similar font for the birthday boys name.
Hope you enjoyed my birthday card, and my funny sense of humor. Wishing Luke a Fantastic 13th Birthday!

Making Handmade Greeting Cards Are The Best Way To Say Happy Birthday
Happy Spring Everyone!
I’ve been making some birthday cards for my Mom and Sister-in-law who’s birthdays are this month and a day apart. I’ve been doing so much with my Cricut Expression, that I wanted to change things up and rubber stamp these cards and use Copic Sketch markers to color them in.
I think the best way to say Happy Birthday is with making Handmade Greeting Cards. When you take the time to make a handmade card, it is not just a card that you are giving but it’s also a gift from the heart.
So for the first card I stamped this cute House Mouse Bunny with black Memento Ink and then used Copic Sketch markers for the coloring. I then cut out this bunny and attached it with pop dots onto the dark blue cardstock panel that was layered on a white card. With silver ink I stamped the sentiment on the front and inside of this card. I think this handmade greeting card came out really cute. I hope that Lin Marie likes her card.
Now for the second card I stamped these beautiful pansy flowers, again with Memento black ink on white cardstock, and colored with Copic Sketch markers. Then I cut the flowers out and attached to dark green cardstock that was layered on a cream colored card. Then I was thinking of what to do next and decided to put these flowers into a basket so I just had to use my Cricut Expression machine to cut out a basket from the Doodlecharms Cricut cartridge, then used my Cuttlebug with a Cuttlebug and embossing folder to put some texture on the basket. I arranged the flowers on the basket and finished it off with a tiny bow on the handle of the basket. My Mom is going to love her basket of flowers.
It is so much fun when you incorporate different techniques when making handmade greeting cards. You sure don’t get caught in a rut this way, and the results are fantastic!
~Wishing my Mom and Lin Marie a Very Happy Birthday~
