Cricut Card Idea That Turned Into A Housewarming Gift
Our friends just moved into their new home and invited us over for dinner. I wanted to make a handmade housewarming gift using my Cricut Expression Machine.
Since my Gypsy has been sick and is going into the Provo Craft hospital next week, I have been using my Cricut Design Studio. It works great but you have to sit at your computer to design which when you have a Gypsy you get spoiled designing any place that you like. Anyway, I started to design a cricut card and it turned into a framed plaque.
I used a neutral paper, since I was not sure what colors they were using in the house. Then I cut the word Welcome using the Plantin Schoolbook Cricut Cartridge. I altered the welcome with my Design Studio to get the perfect size that I needed to fit inside of the frame. Then I cut it out with my Cricut Expression Machine I really liked the way it looked using the “negative” piece of paper. (instead of using each individual letter separately. Using the same cartridge Plantin Schoolbook I cut out the word Established and 2010 and again altered it with the Design Studio for a perfect fit.
For there names I wanted to use a Cricut Cartridge that had a script font. So looking thought my library of Cricut Cartridges I decided to use the Jasmin Cricut Cartridge.
I glued it all together with the Zig 2 Way glue pen for the words cut in the black cardstock and for the large Welcome piece, I used my new pink ATG gun to put onto the light aqua green cardstock. Put it all in a frame. I completed this project by using some raffia that I tied around the frame and then used a paper punch from Family Treasurers of a house that I added to some of the ends of the raffia.
I love the way this turned out and I hope they enjoy there handmade house warming gift, and many years of happiness together.
Make it a Great Day and don’t forget to leave time to Craft!

A Halloween Cricut Card Idea Using The Designer’s Calendar Cartridge
Here is the quickest and cutest handmade Halloween greeting card. I used the Cricut Designer’s Calendar cartridge to cut out this hanging spider that was cut at 3 1/2 inches with my Cricut Expression machine and then attached it to a web that I cut with a Martha Stewart border punch.
This is a perfect “spooky” Cricut Card Idea that you can make using some of your paper scraps. We all have that pile of scraps, whether they are in a basket, box, or organized by color in a large envelope.
I stamped the inside of the A2 card with the clear stamp set that I still can’t remember who it is from (you can see picture in the post from the other day), but this time I used tuxedo black memento ink.
Now that I am looking at this picture, (and the card next to me) you may want to “bling” up your spider or the web with some stickles for a shimmery, sparkly effect. I just might do that!

Two Cricut Cartridges Makes For One Perfect Pear Cricut Card Idea
I just love these machines, that is my Cricut Expression and Gypsy. If you have the smallest Cricut Card Idea, you can make it into the best card idea ever.
If you are in the “crafty world” you have seen this pear before. But when you actually make it yourself it is sooo perfect, cute and also quick.
All I did was cut out two pears using the From My Kitchen Cricut Cartridge using the Cricut Expression machine. Then using my Gypsy and the Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge I typed the words and also welded them together so that they would cut out in one piece instead of individual letters (makes it so much better when adhering to the card).
I then used some Memento Dye Ink color New Sprout and Stampin Up Dye Ink colors Glorious Green and Forest Foliage. Using some blenders to add some color to the edges of the pear for the soft real look.
For the background I choose paper from DCWV and also just a scrap piece of brown paper that I had left over from the shadow pieces that I used for the pear, for the bottom border of the card.
Look how great this card looks. You will be able to send this to any perfect couple on your list for an Anniversary or just because they are a Perfect pear!

Another Great Cricut Card Idea using the Paisley Cricut Cartridge for a Really Fun Birthday Card
I just got a new cell phone, a cute little Jest from Verizon. My previous phone was really old and it was just a phone, no keyboard or any of the cool things that a cell phone has now a days. So this new phone has a keyboard for text messaging and a pretty large screen so that I can see what I’m typing and most importantly what is being sent to me. Now that I am all up to date with my new phone, my niece and nephews are “texting” me, and it’s really great to be in touch with them.
I thought that this Cricut card idea of a cell phone would be just perfect. So using the Paisley Cricut cartridge, and my Cricut Expression machine, I cut everything at 3 1/2″. Then for a personal touch to this great birthday card I decided to also use some rubber stamps. I stamped happy birthday using a hero arts stamp on a plain white piece of cardstock that is the screen of the cell phone. Instead of numbers on the keypad, I stamped the birthday girls name Nicole, using studio G stamps. Then filling in the empty spaces with some rhinestones added that special “bling” that every card needs. I also used the Glitter Sweet stack paper from DCWV for layering the background.
I can think of so many Cricut Card Ideas, and hopefully you can too. So get busy and start creating your own special Cricut Cards.
Wishing Nicole a Fantastic 10th Birthday!

Another Cute Birthday Cricut Card Idea Made With The Celebrations And Designer Calendar Cricut Cartridges
Our niece Riley’s 11th birthday is next week and again I wanted to made a cute card using my cricut. What 11 year old girl doesn’t like cake and presents?
So I used those two things for the front of the card. I cut out the cake from the Designer’s Calendar Cricut cartridge and the present from the Celebrations Cricut cartridge, both using my Cricut Expression machine.
I cut the cake on plain white cardstock then colored in the image with Copic Sketch markers and then added some “bling” with stickles to the frosting of the cake and the flame of the candle.
The present I cut out on two different shades of purple but again added Stickles onto the bow to add a little sparkle to the present.
I then used my Cuttlebug and embossed a light green plaid piece of cardstock with a star embossing folder, layered that onto a solid piece of purple cardstock and finished with a polka dot bow, using American Craft ribbon.
I think this came out really cute and for the inside saying I printed on the computer: Happy Cake and Presents Day!
Wishing Riley a Very Happy Birthday!
