Making Handmade Easter Cards Using Rubber Stamps ~ Copic Sketch Markers & Cricut Expression Machine
Ever since I went to my local rubber stamp convention, I have so many new ideas for handmade cards. And the best part is that it is not costing any more money, since I have all the supplies. I am using all of the stamps that I have already owned but am using them in a totally different way. I went from just stamping on cardstock to making 3D images. So here is a bunch of supplies that I have used to make this Easter Card. Rubber stamps from Stamps Happen Inc, and Stampabilities. Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, Cutter Bee Scissors, ...
Cricut Card Idea For A Birthday Card That Will Make You Smile
My Godson's birthday is this week and I need to make a handmade birthday card for him. I wanted to use my Cricut Expression machine for this card. After looking though all of my Cricut Cartridges, I decided to use my Gypsy and the download cartridge called Smiley Cards. There is an image of a present that has the cutest smiley face, and I know that it will make Tyler smile when he opens up this card. What I did to put some "bling" on this card was used some Stickles (cotton candy color) on the cheeks and mouth to give this ...
A Perfect Cricut Idea Using Your Cricut Expression and a Wooden Picture Frame
Have you ever wanted to make the perfect birthday gift for that special person? Well I did and I think that I have succeeded. When my Sister-in-law came to visit this summer, we had such a fantastic time. We laughed, cried, drank and ate. That's right we ate. We love food and her saying was "Food is Love". So the perfect gift to make was that saying in a wooden picture frame. One afternoon I sat down with my Gypsy and found the perfect font to use and designed this gift. I used the Jasmine Cricut cartridge and the Italic function key ...
Handmade Birthday Cards Are Fun To Make with a Cuttlebug, Copic Markers and a Rubber Stamp
Making handmade Birthday cards are so much fun. My nephew is turning 14 tomorrow. I can't believe how fast that went and I am only the Aunt, I can't imagine how my sister feels. Well, I really didn't know what kind of card to make. I'm wasn't sure if I want to use my Cricut Expression or to rubber stamp this card. After a couple of days contemplating, it turned out that rubber stamping won. I found a stamp by Stamps Happen, Inc of a cat holding alot of balloons. I stamped the image using Tuxedo Black Ink from Memento Ink ...
Two Cricut Cartridges Makes For One Perfect Pear Cricut Card Idea
I just love these machines, that is my Cricut Expression and Gypsy. If you have the smallest Cricut Card Idea, you can make it into the best card idea ever. If you are in the "crafty world" you have seen this pear before. But when you actually make it yourself it is sooo perfect, cute and also quick. All I did was cut out two pears using the From My Kitchen Cricut Cartridge using the Cricut Expression machine. Then using my Gypsy and the Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge I typed the words and also welded them together so that they would cut ...
Another Great Cricut Card Idea using the Paisley Cricut Cartridge for a Really Fun Birthday Card
I just got a new cell phone, a cute little Jest from Verizon. My previous phone was really old and it was just a phone, no keyboard or any of the cool things that a cell phone has now a days. So this new phone has a keyboard for text messaging and a pretty large screen so that I can see what I’m typing and most importantly what is being sent to me. Now that I am all up to date with my new phone, my niece and nephews are "texting" me, and it’s really great to be in touch ...
A Rubber Stamp And Some Copic Sketch Markers Make the Perfect Father’s Day Card
I wanted this years handmade Father's Day card to have a special meaning. My husbands parents have alot of bird feeders on there lake front property and they love to see all the beautiful birds that come to the feeders. They also have bears that frequently help themselves to the bird food. So for this years card I used the House Mouse rubber stamp and colored in the image with Copic Sketch markers. I then layered the image onto a solid piece of cardstock and layered again onto a very soft piece of cardstock that brought all the colors together. Now how ...
Cricut Card Idea For A Birthday Card That Will Make You Smile
My Godson’s birthday is this week and I need to make a handmade birthday card for him.
What I did to put some “bling” on this card was used some Stickles (cotton candy color) on the cheeks and mouth to give this smile a little shimmer. I also used two rubber stamps. One is from Inkadinkado with Tyler’s name and the other is the Happy Birthday rubber stamp from Hero Arts. The ink that I used is Memento and the color is Paris Dusk (dark blue).
I just think that this cricut card idea turned out fantastic. Making handmade greeting cards is the way to go! Wishing Tyler a Very Happy Birthday.

Cricut Card Idea using Smiley Cards Gypsy Download
Hope you are having a great day ~ I need to make a handmade birthday card today for my dearest friend. I wanted a birthday card that would make her smile, nothing serious just a fun card. So I had a great Cricut Card Idea, using my Gypsy and that great cartridge download Smiley Cards, and I believe that I have a winner. I also used my Cricut Expression machine to cut this tea cup out.
Look how cute this tea cup turned out.
I made a tea bag label with beige cardstock and stamped happy birthday with a Hero Arts stamp set. I layered the tea cup onto first lavender Stampin Up cardstock, that was then layered onto polka dot paper from DCWV the summer stack paper pack, then one more layer on burgundy cardstock that I also used a border punch by EK Success that has birthday candles. I used gold stickles for the flames of each candle and then also used Martha Stewart Opaque white marker for the base of the candle.
This is just another great Cricut Card Idea that is sure to be a keeper in your handmade card file. You don’t need alot of paper for this tea cup so you can use up some scraps that you have laying around if you like.
Make it a Great Day and don’t forget to leave time to Craft!
My Favorite 2010 Cricut Cartridges
I can’t believe that it is New Years Eve and this will be my last post for 2010. Yesterday I made a post of my favorite Cricut Card Ideas for 2010, which made me think of all of the cartridges that I have and if I had to pick just one, which one would that be.
So after looking though my library of Cricut cartridges, I Love them all, but picking just one favorite would have to be… 3 Birds on Parade. I purchased this cartridge when it was an exclusive on HSN, but now you can buy this cartridge everywhere cricut cartridges are sold.
This Cricut Cartridge has a bird for every occasion, really fun phrases, accessories for each bird. Look how cute they are ~ I love the football one ~ Are you ready for some football?
Then there is another cartridge that I received with my Gypsy update, and it has got to be my next favorite. It is the Smiley Card Gypsy download cartridge. This cartridge is not available as a cartridge it was only available as a download as a promotion. I do hope that if you didn’t get this download because you don’t have a Gypsy or the you missed the deadline to get this cute download, that one day real soon, Provo Craft will make this a cartridge that everyone can have. The images on this cartridge can really make you smile that is how cute they are.

My Favorite Cricut Card Ideas from 2010
I have had so much fun this year making and sharing the cards that I have made with my Cricut Expression Machine with all of you. I can’t believe all the Cricut Card Ideas that you can have with just one cartridge, then when you have alot of cricut cartridges the possibilities are endless.
But looking though all of the posts that I have made, I think that my favorite Cricut Card is….drum roll
This was the card that I made for Mother’s Day. I used the Sweethearts Cricut cartridge for this and some flowers from Walk in my Garden cartridge. Our Mom’s loved it I think because they were able to see our faces on a card.
My second place favorite Cricut Card is….
I made this birthday card for my brother-in-law after he ran the New York City marathon. I used the Paisley Cricut cartridge for the sneaker and for the background was a city border from Plantin Schoolbook cartridge. I put his running number on the back along with the same medallion that he received on the side of the sneaker. It looked like a subway token.
I have always said that making handmade greeting cards is like you are giving a present too!
Make it a Great Day and don’t forget to leave time to Craft!
Merry Christmas Everyone
12 Days of Christmas with Joans Craft World
On the twelfth day of Christmas…
Twas the Night before Christmas and all though the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. The stockings were hung by the chimney with care….
I hope that Santa brings you everything that is on your list. Maybe a Cricut Expression machine, or a Cuttlebug. How about a Cricut Imagine or Gypsy, a camera so that you can take alot of pictures and then scrapbook all of those memories. Or how about a stocking filled with glue dots, tape runner adhesives, copic markers, rubber stamps, and some ink pads.
It doesn’t matter what the weather is like where you live, Santa will find his way through a blizzard or the clearest of skies. Just last week I thought that I was going to have a white Christmas, but the New Mexico sun came out and melted it all away. If I really want snow, all I have to do is drive 30 minutes to the east and I can see all the snow that I want on the Sandia Mountains.
Everyone celebrates Christmas differently. There are so many old traditions that are being followed down through generation and there are also new traditions being made. Today I have been listening to Polish Christmas Carols and singing around my house as I get ready for some friends to come over. My husband is not Polish he is Swiss/Italian, but after being with me and my family for 30 years he even knows some of the words.
My family in New Jersey are going to the Christmas mass at 4 o’clock to worship and listen to my niece sing in the choir and my nephew/Godson is going to be an alter server at the same mass. Then my husbands family is going to mass together to worship and Celebrate Jesus birth. I wish we were there to celebrate, but we are so there in spirit. No amount of miles will keep us apart, we are always in each others heart and even more during the holidays. Paul and I will be watching midnight mass of television tonight from the Vatican in Italy. Since I just had my last chemo treatment in the beginning of the month, I still cant be around alot of people so we will be celebrating Christmas mass at home.
After church my family will go back to my sister house for dinner and then opening of presents. Paul’s family is going to his sisters, to eat lots of Italian appetizers (fresh mozzarella cheese with soprasata) my mouth is watering just thinking of that platter. Oh can’t forget the black olives. These are the traditions that memories are made from.
However you choose to enjoy this holiday season, just be kind to your fellow man. Just a simple smile can really make someones day.
Wishing You and Your Family a Very Merry Christmas!
