Fun Birthday Cricut Card Idea

Hello My Fellow Crafters,

Hope you all are having a wonderful day.  I’ve been having fun in my craft world today 🙂

I’ve been making a birthday card for my Godson who is turning 19 ~ did I just say 19 – holy moly time flies LOL

I decided to use my Cricut Explore Air for this this Birthday Card and was really happy to find this cool card design on Cricut Access.

All of the cardstock that was used is from Close To My Heart.  I also used stickles on the candle flames but it really doesn’t show up in this picture, but it added my “bling” that I always try to have on all of my cards 🙂

Birthday Card For All Year Celebrating

Hello My Fellow Crafters,

Today I want to share with you a Birthday Card that I made for my sister, that can be kept on display all year.

I have been making cards for a long time and I wanted to make this card totally different from all the other birthday cards that I have made for my sister.

I purchased a  Sizzix easel die awhile ago thinking it was really cute but not really knowing what I was going to make with it and now I am super happy that I have it.

Using the Big Shot Pro machine along with some Close To My Heart cardstock this easel birthday card came out great.  The coolest thing is that the size of the easel fits this calendar perfectly.

Now don’t laugh at me – I could not find my glitter paper and I really wanted the butterfly to be in silver iridescent sooo I used wrapping paper and just glued it to a heavy cardstock so that it would be sturdy.  I actually love the way it turned out 🙂

Sending Birthday Wishes

Hello My Fellow Crafters:

Hope you all had a great weekend 🙂

This is a birthday card that I made for my sister-in-law.  I was really happy how it turned out, especially since I had cardstock and ink that really worked well together.

This card was made with a stamp set from CTMH called “From The Heart”.  What I really love about the stamps from this set is that you can stamp layers of each flower/leaf  and use different shades of color if you like or just color them with Copic markers like I did for this card.  Layering cardstock and using pop dots  adds the perfect dimension.

Sending Turtle Birthday Wishes

Hello My Fellow Crafters,

Another Birthday card.  I can’t believe what a busy card month June has become, which is just fine with me cause I love creating and making Cards  🙂

For this card I used Close To My Heart products.  The Stamp & Thin Cuts are from the “Some Kinda Wonderful Cardmaking Bundle” which is super cute.  Then colored with PrismaColor pencils.

For something a little different for this birthday card I used a scalloped circle thin cut and made a circle in the middle of the card.  This way the turtle could be seen from the front of the card as well as the inside.

I then put two of the thin cuts inside one another so it would cut a frame to put around the turtle so he wouldn’t look lost.  I did all the cutting with a Big Shot Machine from Sizzix.

Making Paper Flowers

Hello My Fellow Crafters,

I love flowers and I betcha you all love them too BUT we all are not happy when we have to throw them away.

That’s why I love making paper flowers 🙂

First of all you can make them any color and size  that you want.  You can keep them on display for as long as you like without watering them or having to pick up petals and leaves that have fallen off.  Plus you have the enjoyment of making them yourself.

Since spring has officially sprung a few weeks ago I have been in the mood to make flowers since they make me happy.

Spring WreathI made this wreath for my mother and father in-law to celebrate spring.  Everything on this wreath is made of paper (and you all know that I love paper)

Close To My Heart was selling wreath kits a few months back but don’t worry if you didn’t get one.  If you have a Cricut machine, you can make these flowers using the Cricut cartridge from CTMH called Flower Market since all of these flowers are in this cartridge.  You can check out the cartridge on my Close To My Heart website.  This Cricut Collection also comes with a cardstock combo package and coordinating rubber stamps.

Hope you have a great weekend.  If you can’t get outside because of rain or cold weather, bring the sunshine inside and start making some paper flowers!
