Handmade Christmas Card Ideas

Hello My Crafty Friends,

I am having so much fun creating Christmas Cards with all of the supplies that I shared with you the other day.

If you have alot of cards to make this year and want to make it look like you spent hours making each card, when it only took a few minutes, then this is the card you need to make.

I just love making 3 dimensional cards.  It’s amazing how just one pop dot can change the entire look of a card, and when you use more it makes it even better 🙂  Having 3 dimensional card ideas then actually making your idea into a beautiful Christmas card is such a gratifying feeling

Also, for another kind of look, I stamped and punched 4 ornament images.  Then folded 3 of them in half, glued the sides together and then glued them to the image that wasn’t folded and this ornament is now popping off the card!

Come back for a visit soon to see more Christmas Card Ideas, until then…

Come back to visit and see what I created with all these card making supplies.

Sending Thoughts and Prayers To All In The Path Of Hurricane Sandy

Hello My Stamping Friends,

I know that this blog is about having fun Stamping but today I want to put stamping aside.

For the past few days, I have been glued to the weather channel to keep up with all the new information regarding Hurricane Sandy. It’s really scarey to me to know that my family and so many of my stamping friends can be affected by this dangerous storm.

I want to send my thoughts & prayers to everyone who is in the path of Hurricane Sandy.

Please stay safe and listen to your local officials in your towns.  They might not be saying what you want to hear, no one wants to leave there home (especially all those stamps and crafting supplies), but they are thinking about your well being, so please do what is asked.

Stampin’ Up New Stamp Set Moving Forward

Hello My Crafty and Stamping Friends.

I have made this birthday card for my dad-in-law using the new Moving Forward stamp set from Stampin’ Up.  Besides the fact that this set is really fun, it gets even better, because when you purchase this stamp set, Stampin’ Up donates part of the purchase price to support the Ronald McDonald House charities.

So you have fun stamping while helping a charity – I love it!

The stamp set has a bicycle (which I used), sail boat and a blimp (balloon), also with some sentiments.

In this card I used alot of supplies that are in my craft room.  The seagulls were cut using the Cricut Expression machine with the Life is a Beach cartridge.

Palm trees was made with a paper punch from punch bunch for the palms and the base was cut freehand on a piece of kraft cardstock and with the side of a Memento Rich Cocoa ink pad just brushed against lightly to get the look of a trunk of the tree.

I live on an island in north Florida and so many people ride there bicycles on the beach so since my dad-in-law visited and loved that idea I made him the beach theme card.

All I did to make the layers of the sand and ocean was I just used the torn paper look (really just tear the piece of cardstock) to get an uneven look.  I then added some glitter for the glistening sand.

Wishing my Dad-In-Law a Very Happy Birthday!

Make it a Great Day and don’t forget to leave time to Craft!
